Baby showers is good for the mother spirutuals.
thanks

With the advances in modern medicine you would think that having a shower before hand would not be such a bad idea. We had our daughters' shower about eight weeks before she was born and no one ever thought what if the baby doesn't make it. The shower was more for the mother than the child. Yes, the child did receive clothes and toys and more obscure "helping momma" gifts than I could ever think of, but most of all the shower helped us. We listened to those family and friends who recently or three decades ago talk about what they went through with the birth and the first couple of months after the birth. It was like a right of passage to have our elders sit and talk to us about the birth and I don't believe it would have as great of an effect if it occurred after the child arrived.

Baby showers are celebrating a life no matter if it is outside or inside the womb. If the event that the baby does die, the gifts can be returned or given to another child. The festivity is a time for family and friends to celebrate the child and its parents. To talk about birthing techniques and advice on raising there child. To have the baby shower before the baby is born seems more appropriate to me because you receive things that you may not be able to afford and are essential to have at birth.

Nice tips for baby's, Thanks

Although the surprise baby shower is not traditional, sometimes it is nice for a second baby shower (if the Mommy-To-Be is going to have a second) to throw a surprise party. Keep in mind that surprise parties can be a little stressful for the Mommy-To-Be as well as the planners since you need to make sure you invite the right people without asking and pick an available time when the Mommy-To-Be and family will be around. It is our suggestion to not have this type of party as the first baby shower, but if there are going to be multiple showers then this can be fun!

Baby showers may be a ritual but it is a positive ritual. To me baby showers allow the mom to kick back and have fun with the lady friends and have a joyable time.

Baby Showers are the feel good party for new parents , that see the family and friends come too celebrate the beginnings of life. Those present don't hurt either, Have you looked at the price of formula and diapers lately? Horrendous for the pockets of parents , so these rituals of family bonding and reinforcement of caring help society stay humble to the blessings of children.

I think baby showers are great. It's a perfect way for family and friends to celebrate the new addition.
