Great blog, I teach sociology as well, was browsing for ideas for my Social Problems course and was happy to stumble across this interesting blog.

I have a lot to say about this, but I just don't have the time right now.

Hey Peter! I recently reread some chapters from "This Book is Not Required" and loved the part about slowing down and calming down. :)

I am a student. Time started being something that was plenty when I started. Now as I am graduating from university, I find that I don't have much time for anything. Then with work, peoples time get divided up even more. Life has become a race with less and less time.

Great post Peter; something real to reflect on.

Great job again Peter.....and sooooo true!!! Life is one big "rushed" experience....

Ugh!

Yes - it's true, we seem to have less time. BUT we make time for what we want to make time for. Reading blogs, twitter, chatting, fav TV shows, etc.

TAKE the time to stop and smell the roses at your local Walmart, TAKE the time to to simply relax in a hug from your guy/gal when you get home

TAKE the time.

Sometimes I think we aren't any busier, but feel we are because we let the things that we use to enjoy for pleasure, become a chore. for example - replying to emails, social media, etc (I struggle with this too)

Stop feeling guilty for not responding quickly, taking the time to read a book & relaxing in that hug.

sprinkle fun back into your day!

I find it hard to find time to do all I want. There is just not enough. Between the kids, house dutties, work. I just get to tired. Thanks for the article and now I'm off to bed. Good Night.
